So i know everyone has noticed it that Shades can just spamm Obliteration while using Soul Orbs, and it gets srsly out of hand in PvP, its to easy to spamm it and kill someone and its completely OP and unfair in PvP against any class whatsoever with the same Gear/LVLS. I'd suggest a CD on that spell so PvP will be more fun, Im a EU player and playing on this server(not the only one) and its almost impossible to run away from the spell intime before you die. Only option is to perk full Speed and i think just because we're from the EU we shouldnt have to use speed perks just to PvP normally. I know people will see this as a QQ thread/Suggestion, it might be a 20% QQ from me aswell, but im not the only one complaining about this, i see it everyday and it takes the fun away from PvPing against a Shade. ~~Wicked Sync |

Theres nothing wrong with my PC lol. And its not like i stand still, this thread is getting pointed more and more on only me, thats why i hate it when people complain so badly ingame and never ever speak up on the forum. i guess ill jsut never make a thread like this again haha, since people r to lazy to state their point here. oh and btw, i do know how to use my skills lol, im not someone who uses scripts to pk. still using my epic hotkeys :P. thanks for ur input tho! |

Well to put my own perspective on this.. I am a shade illu and because we have so much damage, we have no tank stats which has caused me to quit this vocation and make a barb zealot. Tons of damage for no tank stats is an awful tradeoff |

Same issue I tried to raise with the bow classes, the damage trade off isn't worth the loss of tankiness tradeoff. Should be a little better when the psi shield nerf comes in but still, barb/zeal does a lot of damage considering its one of the tankiest classes in the game. You do also have to consider though, barb/zeal isnt getting much better when you add a third class to it. |

It's not because of 1 person, its just overall. I've done alot of those Blog vs Devil events or w/e its called, and also i pvp alot when i can. I always find myself vs a shade/something and they always semms to have the upper hand with Obli spamm. its not that i get myself trapped, but it does a huge amount of dmg(they auto follow you) so and i cant outrun it. i have to be lucky to find a stair or a cave somewhere to escape from it, but then when u finaly escape they just wait for their soul and come again, theres no end of it... soul orbs are to easy to use with a script haha

You cannot at all compare pvp with bogs vs devils.... The only reason that gets all flustered with shade/illu's is because they make it 2v1 no matter what in that event. Every bog and devil is nerfed or increased to compete equal 1 on . That is not pvp.. |

It's just a small comparisment, not like i base this all on a stupit event lol... im just trying to say ive been VS alot equal geared Shade's in there aswell, and just for the record, there aint no such thing as "real pvp", hitting a player is pvp, no need to discuss that further i guess. |

I would just like to throw my 2 cents into this discussion. If you look at all the spell setups for all the vocs, almost all of them have some sort of ability to get in/out of combat really fast, or soak up a bit of damage in an emergency, the easiest way to explain these mechanics would be survival/utility spells. Shade however has none, they get damage, damage, and more damage, their passive helps them recover soul when killing stuff so they can keep doing damage. I do understand that the shade can go into another mage voc and do even more damage + get one of these "utility/survival" spells but (as an example) if the shade goes into illusionist they are just about the most squishy voc combo in the server. The disadvantage to obliteration is that it does a ton of small hits really fast instead of 1 big hit so if you can move out of the way even for a second it does diminish a huge chunk of the dps. While I can understand it is frustrating that players from EU may have some lag and be unable to pvp properly against such things, I don't really feel its fair to nerf the hell out of a specific vocation just because it's strong against laggy players. We do allow the use of bots and as such players do have the option to use dash which essentially removes all lag from your walking. Edited by Xagul, September 1, 2014, 5:01 pm.
